First of all you must remember Japan is not for giants. So if you are tall, your first impression from Japan may be a strong headache (especially if you stay in an old-fashioned house like I did) ...
... or a backpain (when you try to shave yourself using a mirror placed at the level of your stomach).
This concerns also some public places eg. Tokyo subway, so just be careful (mind your head).
