Free evaluation board for 83C552 microcontroller

EV552WZ1 is a free evaluation board for 83C552 microcontroller, very similar to the EV51WZ1. There are just a few differences:

EV552WZ1 is dedicated for 83C552 in PLCC enclosing. All unused ports of the microcontroller are connected to the IDC connector, located on the edge of the PCB (the allocation of pins is summarized in the table below.
It was necessary to use the two-sided PCB. Therefore it was possible to avoid the "mixing" of data lines and address lines, which was necessary in the EV51WZ1.
The memory switching is controlled by P4.5 and P4.4 pins (instead of P1.5 and P1.4, like in EV51WZ1).

The more detailed description of EV552WZ1 does not exist yet, so please read the documentation of EV51WZ1, and consider the above differences. The communication protocol and the downloading software is exactly the same as for EV51WZ1.

What is available for download

The PCB layout in the Easytrax format, designed by Krzysztof Deptula
There are also available printouts of bottom layer, top layer and top overlay in the PDF format.
The "loader" to be programmed into the EPROM is available as source code, and in compiled version
The contents of GAL used for memory switching is available as a source for EASY Abel, and as ready to use JEDEC file.
The schematic diagram of EV552WZ1 is not ready for publication yet :-(
